Hi All,

I Have an HDX4500.

The problem is easy to describe. The opposite site can see and hear me but I just can hear them.

I have no idea.

As DSL router we thought it's from AVM (Fritz) and we thought it could be a problem with VoIP-

But then the other site couldn't hear and see me right?

Can anybody help? Help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Denis

Hello Denis,

This seems to be a firewall/NAT issue - your Router is probably blocking the ports for video traffic from reaching your HDX.

You can find further details in the admin guide which can be found here

It details the ports to be enabled/opened in the Firewall and NAT section.

Also i believe this issue has been discussed in other posts, and addressed be sure to search the forums to check if there is already a solution.

Kindly confirm if this helps.

Regards,

Deep.

Hi Deep,

Thanks for your kind answer.

I thought I'd done this. I'll check on friday when I'm back home and give a feedpack or provide Screenshots.

Cheers,

Denis

Hi,

I Now tried to check or change it. But I can't.

In the Admin Guide: http://supportdocs.polycom.com/PolycomService/support/global/documents/support/setup_maintenance/pro...

It says from pg 55 how to proceed. Because of my Fritz box Router (I think it's not H.323 compatible) I have to use fixed ports.

But as you can see in the screenshot I'm not able to check the field for the fixed ports - Any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Denis

Hello,

The changes need to be made on the firewall/router as well.

As i am not familiar with AVM products i can not advice you on the router side.

Kindly follow the guide attached.

Hello Denis,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am running my Group Series and a HDX via my Fritz!Box from my home office without issues.

What Software Version is the HDX running and is it provisioned by a CMA or anything?

Hi Steffen,

SW-Version is: Release - 3.0.3.1-19040

What does this mean? Is it provisioned by a CMA or anything?

You mean the CMA Desktop? I don't know this. I just have the HDX4500 at home. Connected to the FritzBox 3270 via a Netgear router.

Thx,

Denis

Hello Denis,

I would suggest you upgrade the unit to a currently supported release and then check the fixed port option again.

In my example my Fritz!Box is also behind an additional router.
