We recently purchased 7 HDX7000 with touch controllers.  I can't say for sure, but I think a lot of our random problems are due to the polycom touch controllers.  I was just wondering how many users are really using these units...successfully.  We seem to have weird anomalies and to the point of throwing them in the trash.  Anyone else have any insight?

We're to the point that everytime we we open a ticket with Polycom they tell us that a simple reboot will fix the problem and/or to reset everything to factory defaults and upgrade to the latest code because there is corruption.  Well, this is getting really old.

Have you proved this by not using the touch controller and seeing if the system is stable (if you have another remote - or control it through web client)

Are the HDX units on recent firmware that supports the TP fully?

Unfortunately i can take Polycom support a while to escalate issues up the support tier sometimes..

We are seeing the same types of "strange" issues.  I just posted about one today where the HDX7000 will not go to sleep properly when using the Touch Panel.  This is happening on multiple units.  I don't believe the Android code on these is stable enough at this time to be in production.

I have the same problem with my HDX7000 in China - as long as the Touch Control is attached, the system can't get into sleep mode properly (it seems never get into sleep mode at all), while with the remote control, the system always gets into sleep happily. What's more, my colleague in Germany has the same problem with his two HDX7000 units (:( it's him who recommended me to buy the Touch Control from the beginning). Polycom seems not able to fix this at the moment.

If you are using code 3.0.3.1, revert back to 3.0.3.

Supposedly there is a bug release that fixes this, but is not yet mainstream code.

Hello all,

The HDX 3.0.4 Software and the Polycom Touch Control 1.4.0 has just been released.
