Hi, I have a HDX 8000 that has had a problem with a sftware upgrade and now all that happens is that the power light  starts Blue and approx every 20 secs flashes purple.  I have tried to reset the unit using the pin hole reset but it fails to respond.  Any ideas?

Did you try the pin hole reset to factory specs while system on or while powering the system on.  From what I understand you need tgo do the reset while holding the power on button and using paper clip in pin hole.  Good luck.
