Is it possible to transfer the muli-point license from one HDX 8000 to another? It's not feasible to simply exchange the two units physically.

Thank you

License or key?

The license is a piece of paper that is activated in the Polycom CFS system by entering the license number and the system serial number.  What is returned out of the system is a key, which is used to activate the feature set on the system.  The CFS system keeps track of licenses and the features which are active on that system (based on serial number).  The key returned each time is an accumulation of the features associated with serial number.

Prior to activation (association with a serial number) a license can be used with any system which supports that feature.

Once activated the key can not be used on another system and the license is no longer valid.

I guess at this point it's a key, because the license was activated for a specific system. Sounds like we're boned at this point since the key cannot be used on another system and the license is no longer valid. Kind of a shame you can't transfer what is basically a software license to a new piece of hardware.

Thanks for the info.
