Hello we are migrating from a View Station to an HDX 8000. We found out that we needed to purchase a new quad BRI module. The issue we are running into is the cable that interfaces the HDX 8000 to the BRI module. On the HDX 8000 it is not a standardRJ 45 interface. Does anyone have information on this cable part # or how to make the connector? You can't insert a normal patch cord into the HDX 8000 ISDN interface.

Thanks

Your new QBRI will include the needed cable.

Just as a safety check, that cable which is called the PLink cable, can not be altered and can not be extended.  The only supported configuration is the cable which comes with the SQUIB module. If you need to extend cables you should do it on the ISDN side of the module, not on the module to the codec side.

Concur on the HDX QBRI cable, but being old enough to remember installing VStations with QBRIs it was pretty cool to have the QBRI in the Comms Room with the ISDN BRIs & only 1 RJ45 connection to the room, patched as necessary. Oh well, c'est la guerre.
