I had been getting phantom calls that would connect and stay connected until I hung them up with no video feed coming through.  Sometimes, there would be three or fours connected calls before I got back to the conference room and hung up on all of them. So I disabled SIP which fixed it.  That was a few months ago.

Now, for the last three weeks or so, I am getting phantom calls that connect and immediately disconnect.  They all say "CISCO" and each call is from a different IP.  Looking in the logs I see that some of the IPs do repeat infrequently.  I get one of these calls about every 13 minutes.  Even if I am already on a call and sharing information with the far point or vice versa, one of these phantom calls pops in and disconnects whatever is being shared.

I googled the problem and, in addition to one other Polycom thread, found this Spiceworks thread with a reponse from "Megan for Polycom UK" sending the OP to this thread stating the Polycom support team is collecting details from affected users.  Rather than ressurect a seemingly dead thread with no activity for the last four months, I posted a new support request.

I have my Polycom HDX 7000 outside my network so I do not have to worry about opening any ports for it in my firewall.  I have an Arris CM820 cable modem connected to an unmanaged switch that, in turn, connects to my Sonicwall and my Polycom.  This Polycom thread advises to block port 5060, but because the modem has no programmability to it whatsoever, this cannot be accomplished.  I currently have only three addresses that legitimately need to call.

I would turn off Auto-Answer and turn on Do Not Disturb but for the fact that the owner of the company calls in very early in the morning before weekly meetings to make sure he can connect and see the conference room.
