Hello,

I have g7500 with E70 (all up to date as of 4.15.2022) - I find every now and then the E70 offline with the physical lens shutter closed (e.g. I see the red ban sign instead of the lenses).

I would like to troubleshoot this my self first, before I engage support. I am not able to get the camera to close the shutter in normal operation - codec sleep doesn't do it. The only way I can get the shutter to close is if I power cycle it and USB cable is unplugged. Activating camera privacy doesn't do it either. I am also not finding detail manual for this unit.

So the question is:

What can trigger the the camera shutter close on the e70?

Hello @SVS ,

Stating the up-to-date software does not help others when finding this post in days, weeks, months, or years to come as they do not know what software mentioned was current at the time of writing.

Please therefore always post the exact complete build id.

The same is applicable for other providers if this is a functionality of the device being used.

Therefore the different community sections may contain a post or FAQ on how to find this.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

With date stamp, it isn't that hard to find the version number.

For the lazy ones:

G7500 - 3.10.0-362035

E70 - 1.3.0.246012

Hello @SVS

people trying to help you should not have to search around for the details. This is all outlined in the ReadMe1st so it is a basic requirement.

Thanks for updating your original post
