Response from elsewhere I went to (we = Polycom):

The YPrPb we specify is TRI-level sync.

Usually the bi-level sync kinda-sorta works but is flaky (flashes and blue-screens).

Tri-level sync is the only HD analog form that is reliable with our HDCI inputs.

Additional information, from the same person who provided the initial response.

BTW… here’s a nice reference about tri-level sync.

Dear Steven!

Thank you for answer. Once more question: what about input 4 of GS 700? Does it work with Bi-level sync component signal?

Here again, we may have a misunderstanding of the port configuration.

That port is intended for YPrPb with tri-level sync.
The port DOES support Composite video 480i on the yellow connector.

YPrPb in our environment demands tri-level sync.

Dear Steven!

Thank you for such full qualified answers! I really appreciate your help!

I knew that HDX lineup requires tri-level sync, but wanted to verify this against GS lineup.

Threre is article 14021 in knowlege base about it. (HDX)
