Hi,

Can Crestron poll status of G7500 when in Teams mode?

I want to turn screen ON/OFF according to the codec status.

Thank you

Hello @Jarzombeg ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.

Just as an FYI Microsoft Teams is an unsupported Provider for the G7500

I suggest you look at this post:

May 19, 2020 Question: Does a Poly G7500 or Studio X50/X30 support REST API?
Resolution: Details on this can be found in the Poly VideoOS REST API Reference Guide >here< (or search the Support Page for the latest) or for instructions check >here<

You can set up a session with the device:

curl -b cookies.txt -c cookies.txt -d "{\"user\": \"admin\",\"password\": \"789\"}" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -k https://10.252.149.104/rest/session

and then query the current App State:

curl -b cookies.txt -c cookies.txt -X GET -H "Content-Type: application/json" -k https://10.252.149.104/rest/system/apps/state

NOTE: The command is not in our official documentation and can be removed without any notice in the future. We strongly suggest working with a Poly Sales Engineer and requesting this or others via a feature request. Please ensure this is understood.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I didn't mean in call or outside. I was thinking about state when codec goes to sleep and 'mutes' video out.

I assume screen would go to sleep when codec goes to sleep. However I have an existing CP3 and I just wanted to make use of it.
