Hi

We are facing issue with sharing content using Macbook pro

The model is Macbook pro Model A1398 EMC 2745.

This Macbook comes with HDMI port.Using the HDMI port or the thunderbolt port when connected to Group series 500 (Updated to ver 4.1.3.2) or HDX 8000 ver 3.1.5 it does not pass content but only shows the "sending content" but shows black screen.

Please advice.

Can you provide a bit more detail?  What happens with other HDMI content sources, do you get content then?  Is it point-to-point or multipoint?  What are the network details.  What happens sharing content the other way?  What do the stats on the receive and tranmit EPs show for content?

At first reading of it, it sounds like a firewall/network issue.

Having same issue. Not sure if this has been resolved yet but have

3 macbooks from various sources and polycom units on campus that do not pass content point to point.

other HDMI sources no problem.

Still have not tested sharing content other way. have not yet reviewed stats receiving and tranmiting EPs show for content.

seems pro specific. any thoughts?

Hello @theledheavy ,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Both the community's Must Read First and the community's FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

Jul 12, 2016 Question:What is HDCP?

Resolution: HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels across connections as explained in detail => here <=

As you stated that other HDMI sources have no issue I would assume this is related to the Mac.

The next step would be opening a ticket with Polycom support.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
