We are installing new polycom real presence group 500 endpoint.challenge is we want to connect it to our epson projector, which can accept only one HDMI and one VGA source for split screen mode.We tried HDMI to VGA adaptor to convert a source but it's not working. Then we tried HDMI to DVI adaptor + DVI to VGA adaptor still it didn't work.tried to set the monitor output to DVI still getting blank page.

Spoiler

Help us to connect with projecter.

The video output of the RealPresence Group Series 300, 310 and 500 is exclusively digital, supported on HDMI version 1.3 or DVI-D. The difference between the 2 is the HDMI includes audio on output 1, whereas the DVI does not have audio. The Admin Guide has additional information in the appendix about the back panel views.

You should test both outputs to the projector HDMI input. If that both monitor outputs work then you will need to talk to the vendor of the ancillary equipment to see what they can recommend. One thing to question is if it outputs HDCP signaling to the connected equipment. If the codec does not have the proper HDCP IDs it could be the issue at 1080 resolutions.

HDCP is discussed in other strings on this forum or you can look on line for details about it.

Is there a reason why you are trying to connect two sources to the projector at the same time? If you are trying to share content and have the Polycom displayed at the same time, then I would suggest the following. Take the HDMI/VGA from the laptop can connect that to the input of the Polycom. Then connect the output of the Polycom to the projector. Use the Polycom to change the layout mode for People, Content, or People + Content. (You should be able to do side by side on the Polycom instead of the projector. Hope this helps!
