I just finished reconfigured HDX 7000 for IP calls a few days ago.  Tested it out with a few test sites and they worked just fine.

I came into the office today trying to access the HDX 7000 unit and I was not able to access it via web interface at all.

I kept getting 403 forbidden.

Would you please help me on this?

Thank you

Sounds like that Web Remote Access was disabled or Web Access port is not default  80. Check the settings in System -> Admin Settings -> General Settings -> Security.

Hope this could help.

Same issue here, web remote access is enabled and I have tested changing the ports from 80 to 443. None of them work.

Whitelists are disabled as well. Network settings seems to be ok.

HDX 7000 "Release - 3.0.2.1-17007"

Any idea?

Even I have got the exact same issue....whenever i try to access the web interface of GS 500......using the LAN IP it gives a 403 forbidden error.....This problem start after i had keyed it some real ip's in the whitelist.....because we were getting annoying calls from an unknown location by the name cisco@......

So to overcome this issue of annoying calls we were adviced to key in the IP's of legitimate callers in the whitelist....And after i did that....i lost acccess to the web interface and it keeps on giving the 403 forbidden errror.

Need help to resolve this issue ASAP.

Hello Syed,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

From the Group Series Admin Guide:

  • Enabling a Whitelist and Adding IP Addresses
When a whitelist is enabled, the Polycom RealPresence Group system web interface and SNMP ports accept connections only from specified IP addresses. This feature, which supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, can only be configured in the web interface.
In environments where dynamic address assignment is used, ensure that you keep the Whitelist up to date with the latest assigned addresses for computers authorized to access the system. Failing to update the Whitelist means these computers cannot connect to the system.

I would assume you would have to factory restore the Group Series.

Change the ip of the equipment to an ip in the same subnet that you have white listed

also change you Laptop to the same subnet.

Connect with an ethernet cable directly to the codec and you should be

able to login and disable white list.
