A big thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light into this issue.

Have a Polycom HDX 8000 unit that cannot call out or receive calls from most IP addresses. The unit was able to place and receive calls from anywhere for a few weeks, but it has now for the most part stopped working.

ISP is Verizon FIOS, using a static public IP. An IP address has been manually assigned to the unit (as well as gateway, dns, etc).

The ip address/mac address of the polycom unit has its own reservation in the router.

Currently, the polycom unit's IP address is also set to the DMZ. (Initially had ports 1720 and 3230-#### forwarded for both UDP and TCP, but decided to try to use DMZ to rule out any port forwarding issues).

What I have done so far:

New Ethernet Cable

New Router

DMZ as opposed to just port forwarding

Trace Route to those IP addresses that do not work

-Almost all the trace routes clear the router and my ISP, but often stop around the 10-12 hop.

Any tips or insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated. I would blame the receiving side(s), but there are too many of them in which we are having this issue, and they seem to connect to each other just fine.

Hi,

Have you tried registering your endpoint to a gatekeeper on the public internet. If not let me know and you can try register to our gk to see if it works.
