C60 & Studio X Device Mode

Is there a simple/reliable means to initiate device mode w/a C60 controller? 
At best it's sporadic if you swipe down on the C60's display, the majority of time it just refreshes the schedule/meeting list.

I think Steffen gave you the right answer in your first thread, today it is not possible using Trios series as a controller and activating Device Mode.

Please attached screenshot from the Studio X 3.1.1 release notes.

I've also initiated device mode w/a C60 controller (by swiping down on the display) , I just think that there should be a more consistent method.
