Hi all.  In relation to the VisualPro units (so, essentially still the Group Series devices), they are shiped from the factory with a base firmware version.

If a VisualPro/GroupSeries needs a factory level reset, naturally the base firmware is reinstalled and then we have to go through an additional update to the latest entitled version.

Is there any way to set the "base" firmware to be a different version than burnt into the device at the factory?

Thanks.

No there is not in the field.  Periodically the upgrade will include a factory partition update in order to provide a factory update partition that is more upto date.
