Hi all,

Has anyone experienced issues after upgrading the Poly X70 to Poly OS 4.0?

I am currently using Device mode and am hesitant to upgrade if there are known issues, especially since downgrading may not be possible.

Thanks.

Hello @WilliamLAM

Welcome to the Poly community.

It would be of interest to what Provider you are using as this then depends on what answer we can provide. For example Microsoft Teams I would suggest waiting for PolyOS 4.0.1 which should be due by the end of the month.

Best Regards

I have an X70 that is running 4.0 and teams.  It works OK, but the device cannot be added to Poly lens on provisioning otherwise it just reboots and resets to Poly mode, and then needs to be changed back to teams again manually.  It also does not see the same 4.0 update as the X30 or X50 does when it was provisioned- it was a lower version of 4.0 offered.  Do not as what, as I'm not putting it back in provision mode again to see / it reset on me.

Hello @GManUK ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

This sounds like a miss configured Lens tenant pushing a policy that is not set up in the right order and had an earlier Beta assigned to it.

The best and quickest way forward is to contact our Support organization as the community is run by volunteers only.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

The device was on the Beta test before - would that have an effect on its future usage?

It now shows the correct OS version on Lens is installed - yet if put back under provisioning, it will just reset back to Poly mode (from teams) - there is no policy set to do this at all.

Hello @GManUK

any Beta version can be upgraded but something in your Lens tenant is pushing the wrong CFG and the wrong Software.

Our support team can check this and work with you on it.

Something is wrong with the order of the separate Policies and overwrites therefor what you set

Get this into support and you may end up working with me in my day job 😉

Best Regards

Steffen

For me, after upgrading to 4.0 and  setting Teams as provider, it did not worked to have a static IP, it just loses connectivity. On DHCP it works.

Hi Steffen,

Will do that once all the device will be installed.

Is there any ETA for 4.1, maybe this will be solved?

Thanks,

Hallo @mrch0

what is the use case for the manual IP instead of DHCP?

With this issue, we would need to check via our support organization as only they can implement a fix. Simply waiting for a new release does not archive this as we may not be aware of the problem.

Please get this into support as 4.1.0 is a while away. The next release will be 4.0.1

Best regards
