A launch is a great celebration for a company, but it’s also a big event for the audience—especially your customers.

On October 7, Polycom hosted the largest solutions launch event in our history. From the height Pennsylvania Plaza—where Polycom’s New York office sits—Polycom executives unveiled industry-first innovations designed to solve some of the greatest challenges in the workplace today. The solutions bring the workplace of the future to customers, and put people at the center of collaboration.

Polycom President and CEO Peter Leav“It’s about our customers,” confirmed Polycom President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Leav in his keynote speech at the launch event, which doubled as Polycom’s 25-year anniversary celebration. Peter, along with Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Management & Systems Engineer Ashan Willy and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Engineering Michael Frendo, introduced new collaboration solutions ready to up the ante on collaboration and the future of work. As Peter addressed a packed room of participants, he described the enterprise-grade collaboration solutions we are proud to offer, and that the open, standards-based, nonproprietary, secure solutions were created for our valued customers.

Scott Crowder of BMC Software, a respected Chief Information Officer, helped us celebrate our landmark launch event. Following the excitement of Peter’s keynote, Polycom Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President Jim Kruger welcomed Scott to the stage for a discussion about the Polycom collaboration solutions BMC uses, and how they help his team work more efficiently.

Packed house at launch eventScott referred to Polycom video collaboration solutions as a “game changer,” and noted the benefits and outcomes BMC has seen as a direct result of their deployments.

“If you have organizations throughout the world, how do you shrink the globe?” asked Scott. He explained that Enterprise Voice, Skype for Business enabled solutions, Group Series, and RealConnect along with other Polycom solutions make it very easy for BMC to create a culture of collaboration across the globe. In addition to the ability to join a meeting via mobile phone from even from an airplane, Polycom solutions help BMC experience the industry’s best audio, video, and data collaboration from anywhere, at any time.

Scott also discussed ease-of-use as a major aspect of BMC’s collaboration needs. With Polycom, BMC can collaborate quickly with anyone, no matter the location, in real-time. You can walk into a conference room and press join—everything is synchronized, and it makes for a happy, healthy, and efficient work environment.

“People enjoy these workspaces,” he said, “and they enjoy having the technology to collaborate around the world.”

Scott closed the discussion by providing three key pieces of advice for creating a culture of collaboration: picking the right partners, building a unified communications organization, and having an adoption services team.

The discussion exemplified the high standards Polycom sets for customer satisfaction, and the Polycom priority to empower customers with solutions that enable their businesses to stay competitive. As celebrated at the launch, we're here to help you stay one-step-ahead of the crowd.
