It’s finally here! My favorite trade show of the year. Lots of Polycom and partner team members fly in from all over the country to network with our industry peers and pros, and check out the shiny new A/V toys. We, at Polycom, still recognize there’s a time and place for business travel. InfoComm is one of them!
I had the opportunity to stop by some of our partners' booths today. First stop: ScanSource. This was easy to get to because they're right next door:
I spoke with a couple of the team members, and the key takeaway (paraphrased): ScanSource supports Polycom innovation and is focused on providing reseller services that can help grow the relationship in the channel.
They had quite a few Polycom solutions in their booth including the Polycom CX5100 360-degree HD video camera for Microsoft Lync (pictured below), VVX business media phones (pictured below), and RealPresence Group Series (it was so crowded at their demo, I couldn't get a picture!).
And, last night we spent some time with our ScanSource contacts at the pre-event mixer. Here's an artsy snapshot of partgoer silhouettes against the Las Vegas backdrop. This image was initially posted on our Instagram account.

Next stop: MyVRM. The team members noted there's some news coming out tomorrow, so watch their newsite for that. (Sorry, all, I can't preannounce for them!)

Next stop: AVI-SPL. Their key takeaway (paraphrased): True end-to-end solutions. From design / build / integration to support and services on the back end.
The Polycom 360-degree camera (pictured below) had prominent placement right underneath their UC&C signage at the front of the booth (pictured above).

My last partner booth stop of the day: Dimension Data. The team onsite said their focus is on managed services.

And then the show floor closed for the day. So, I went outside to get some fresh air and take a picture of our Polycom signage, which says: "See the workpalce of the future. Visit us in booth N1339" and features the Polycom CX5100 360-degree camera.
Stay tuned for more updates from InfoComm. I'm watching some presentations tomorrow. I will report back!
