The Polycom Global Citizen: My Trip to Jordan with Global Nomads Group

Since learning about Global Nomads Group when I joined Polycom over one year ago, I have been inspired by their passion for connecting the world’s youth. For almost 15 years, the Polycom Foundation has supported Global Nomads with our interactive video products to connect more than a million young people from 45 countries so they can learn about each other...and from one another.  When offered the chance to join a GNG delegation trip to Jordan, I quickly saw the learning opportunity as a truly global experience and the opportunity to develop as a global citizen and professional.

At Polycom, part of our vision is the continual development of our employees. I’m very excited that 3 Polycom employees will join me in Jordan -- Marc-Alexis Remond, Senior Director, Global Industry Solutions & Marketing; William McMichael, Customer Fulfillment Director and Jean-Phillipe Prenovost, Senior Legal Counsel.  Other supporters of GNG will be part of this delegation, including a group from the Department of Education for the U.S. state of Kentucky. 

On our five day trip we’ll be meeting student alumni of the Global Nomads Group program, attending sessions at local high schools, visiting the US Embassy and more! We will all be heading to Jordan on Nov. 19th, and am looking forward to be spending time with my Polycom colleagues, our friends at GNG, and the students we meet along the way!
