Microsoft has released Skype for Business (Formerly known as Lync Server), its latest Unified Communications product release. Many are familiar with the industry leading meeting and collaboration functionality that Skype for Business delivers to users, but did you know it can also be used as an enterprise grade telephony system?

Skype for Business also offers Voice over IP Telephony features that are also available in other Private Branch Exchange (PBX) products from companies such as Avaya, Mitel, and Cisco to name a few. Recently, Microsoft was named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrants for Unified Communications and Corporate Telephony, so now is a great time to start exploring the Skype for Business telephony capabilities and to identify if it is a proper fit for your organization.

Microsoft has a great product, so why am I here telling you about it? Well, while deploying Skype for Business for meetings, enterprise voice and collaboration is relatively easy; integrating legacy voice systems can be difficult. I have been fortunate enough to design and deploy many Lync Server and Skype for Business environments that are integrated with nearly every type of legacy system you can imagine. There are many different methods to integrate existing voice systems into your Skype for Business deployment, which is why understanding all of your options and making an educated decision based on the requirements of the users in your organization is very important.

Join me in our latest Skype for Business Masters Webinar series where I will walk you through the design and integration process for Skype for Business Enterprise Voice with both IP based and TDM based PBX systems. By the end of this webinar, my goal is to provide you with an understanding of best practices as well as next steps for integrating your systems with Skype for Business.

Whether you are one of the largest companies in the world or a growing business looking to take your communications and collaborations to the next level, this is one you will not want to miss.

This webinar will be available to watch live Thursday August 27th, 2015 at 2:00PM Eastern Time. For more information, hit the link below and register to watch live.
