What inspires and motivates you?

DENISE: I am inspired by collaboration, teamwork and planning. On the weekend of Aug. 14 through 16, the global IT team came together and successfully upgraded and patched the critical infrastructure of Polycom. It was amazing to see all the effort and teamwork that went into the planning and implementation. Everyone pulled together to get it done.

DEVENDER: As the SharePoint evangelist, I work directly with employees from different departments spread across the globe. What inspires me is the opportunity to help people, solve problems and build smart solutions to drive profitable growth.

It all starts with an idea, but you never know where the idea will end up. As ideas spread, they change, grow, and connect us with each other. Sometimes it takes more than what you originally asked for, but it is very rewarding when you get the job done and succeed together as one.

What’s your favorite Polycom memory?

DENISE: I would have to say the Andover relocation project. It gave me great satisfaction to be involved from the beginning and seeing it through to the end. From the dismantling of the old data center, to the build out of the new Andover site, and to the eventual move to 600 Federal Street, I truly enjoyed working with the team.

DEVENDER: Like so many of us, I also have team members working from different cities, states and even different parts of the world. One of my favorite Polycom memories was the opportunity to attend the Microsoft Ignite event in Chicago with my team. It was amazing to be able to get to know each other outside of work and to build positive relationships

When you think of Polycom, what stands out to you most?

DENISE: Polycom’s technology and how it enables us to do our jobs. We are so lucky to have the flexibility of working from home or anywhere for that matter. Polycom’s technology makes our jobs so much easier to accomplish. We can reach out and touch folks whenever it is needed.

It was paramount to me, personally, when my daughter was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Our technology enabled me to be there for her when she needed me the most. 

DEVENDER: When I think of Polycom, I think of the workplace of the future. Wherever we are, Polycom helps us unleash the power of human collaboration—anytime, anywhere and on any device. 

What’s one of your goals in the next 25 years?

DENISE: I would like to travel more, spend more time with family and friends, and once I retire do some volunteer work.
