Polycom Golf Day Raises £4,825 for Right to Play
Our UK&I sales team recently held a charity golf day raising just under £5,000 for our philanthropic partner Right To Play.
Our donation has enabled Right To Play to provide weekly sport and play opportunities for 160 children for an entire year, allowing the children to develop the skills to become better learners, stay healthier and keep safe.
Over 70 people participated in the charity event, including some of our key partners, AVI SPL, AvsNet. Dimension Data, Imago/Scansource, Nycomm, Siphon Networks, Thinking Phones, Westcon, Videocall and Vodafone to name a few, plus end customers including Ashurst, BP, Reed and Signet as well as some of our UK&I sales team.
We had lots of fun with fund raising activities including an auction raising £570 which saw Richard Carter from Nycomm bidding £400 for racing wheels, Tim Dobbins from Vega Group bidding £50 for the Tour De France Winner’s Shorts and Graham Fry from Avsnet bidding £120 for a Pokermasters Chip set.
The winning team of the golf tournament was AVI SPL followed closely by Thinking Phones as the runners up who also won the Heads and Tails competition.
The Polycom golf competition is a fantastic opportunity to help raise money for Right to Play, as well as bringing some of our partners and customers together, which provides a great informal networking opportunity.
This is the fifth year running that we have arranged a charity golf day which has grown year on year. I am pleased with the success it has bought to both Polycom and Right To Play; it’s an event our partners always remember and appreciate.
