Today 229 first and second graders in Missouri, Montana, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin and two districts in Ontario, Canada, connected with author/illustrator Laurie Keller to talk about her book, “Do Unto Otters.” This story is about otters that move next door to some rabbits and have to learn to be good neighbors – a fun book that teaches manners. The students questioned Ms. Keller about the writing process and where she gets her inspiration. And, we ended the conference with Ms. Keller teaching the students how to draw their own otters!
