The collaboration conversation is happening all around us and the momentum is growing. Businesses, both large and small, are beginning to experience the benefits from enhanced communication. That will only grow.
Businesses are undergoing fundamental shifts in office structure, the way we work, the manner in which people and teams interact which is paving the way for new collaboration tools. We’re seeing a greater demand for more open work spaces which foster greater collaboration and teleworking has become an essential tool for business continuity.
In January, I wrote in a blog post of the positive impact Polycom’s relationship with Microsoft has made on unleashing the power of human collaboration and the effect we continue to have together in bringing these new tools to market. It’s a relationship that we’re very proud of.
Together, Polycom and Microsoft are making video collaboration easy, intuitive and, perhaps most importantly - as you will see later this week - for everyone. We’re helping businesses, from large enterprises to small companies, defy distance, improve their productivity and collaborate in meaningful and impactful ways.
Over the last decade, Polycom and Microsoft have worked in tandem to deliver new collaboration experiences across multiple environments. Our partnership has never been stronger and that strength will be evident in our booth (#1405) at Enterprise Connect in Orlando, Florida.
We continue to innovate with a purpose. Since Microsoft entered the unified communications market, Polycom has delivered purpose-built solutions that integrate for and are qualified by Microsoft. In fact, no partner in the Lync-ecosystem has developed a broader portfolio of Microsoft-qualified voice, video and content sharing solutions that uniquely integrate with Lync /Skype for Business than Polycom.
The solutions have to be easy to use. Removing the complexity of collaboration is at the foundation of our partnership with Microsoft. And Polycom is delivering solutions that meet that goal. Our Group Series and CX8000 (Lync Room System) solutions, make video collaboration easy and remove the complexity often experienced with video conferencing.
Our VVX HD voice desktop phones offer rich audio applications integrated with Microsoft-powered work flows. RealConnect for Microsoft Lync unifies the video collaboration experience across Lync and non-Lync environments, making it easy for customers to move forward with a video collaboration solution enterprise-wide. These solutions are driving the workplace of the future for businesses today.
The flexibility of Lync coupled with our integration preserves familiar experiences and workflows end users are accustomed to. In other words, the solution should fit your work style, not the other way around. Together, Microsoft and Polycom have a passion, a drive to bring solutions to market which offer the opportunity for everyone to experience the power of human collaboration. We’re evolving. Microsoft’s announced plan to transition from Lync to Skype for Business this spring epitomizes that. That transition will allow our partnership to impact new markets, deliver new solutions and drive new collaboration experiences to everyone.
So 2015 will indeed be a year to watch, and the momentum continues to build at Enterprise Connect. Visit us in booth #1405 for more information.
