The Urban Shield annual readiness exercise has been a major success in its Dublin, California hometown and beyond. The exercise, led by Sheriff Greg Ahern of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department, counted on 4,000 volunteers last year during the 72 continuous hours of preparation and events.
