"I have an IP PBX but use Lync for UC. Now what?" This is the question many customers are struggling with. Some have already made the jump to voice enable Lync with Polycom phones.  This year, almost 60% of enterprises (500+ seats) surveyed are deploying or planning to deploy Lync, including enterprise voice, up from 45% last year (based on a recently released report by Infotrack available on Microsoft's web site).

What about customers who have yet to depreciate their IP PBX purchase or have a year or 2 left on their lease? Try starting a converstion around the CX5500 Unified Conference Station. The new CX5500 delivers enterprise grade video and audio collaboration with Microsoft Lync in an easy-to-use system that can be plugged into a USB port on a laptop. The CX5500 also doubles as an open-SIP IP conference phone when not used for Lync video calls, making it a great conversation starter for your Cisco, Avaya, and Nortel IP PBX customer prospects who use Lync as their UC client. If they choose to migrate voice to Lync in the future, they can bring the CX5500 along with them. That's a great use case now with investment protection for later.
