President of Polycom EMEA Marco Landi took the stage to open the Compete to Win session at TEAM Polycom.
“I give tremendous credit to Polycom,” said Marco. “Polycom picked one of their top sales guys—a 10-year veteran in the field—and gave him the task to lead the Polycom intelligence team. This is someone that was fighting day in and day out against competitors and beating them. It makes the story more real.”
With that, Quentin Packard, Senior Director of Polycom Intelligence took to the stage alongside another Polycom Sales veteran and current Director of Worldwide Consulting Engineering Sam Kennedy. The demonstrations in the session included a video call with several vendor solutions that couldn’t stand up to Polycom’s RealPresence Group Series when challenged with packet loss or an open workspace filled with background noise. Sam and Quentin also led an impressive demonstration of Polycom’s RealPresence Group Series SmartPairing technology, demonstrating how a user can seamlessly transfer a call from a mobile device to Polycom Group Series without missing a beat, and then use that same mobile device as a remote control.
This standing room only session was packed with additional interactive demonstrations, some of which included maracas along with tips and strategies to “crush the competition.”
Quentin closed the session by reinforcing Polycom’s vision to unleash the power of human collaboration, which is realized in Polycom’s commitment to bridging technological gaps in the workplace.
“We aren’t just creating technology to give a great experience—that should be expected. We are innovating and delivering technology that is designed to bridge these critical gaps and help you sell more,” said Quentin. “With each of you, and the brilliant minds at Polycom, we can bring new technology to market to foster new innovations for customers, and help us all gain and grow this industry.”
