Hi,
I installed a trial version of Real Presence Desktop 2.3 and it expired today. I would like to purchase a license for RPD. I heard that once I install RPD license in one PC they it cannot be transferred ? Is it true ? I got this information from a vendor and he suggested me to purchase Telepresence M100 ?

Hello,
When you buy a single license of the RPD it is only meant to be activated to one computer only. Now with the RPD you either get it activated by a single license or log in using a CMA log in. If you have a CMA log in you can use it on more then one computer. Though your log in can only be used on one computer at a time. So you would need more then one log in for multiple users or have multiple keys for RPD.
In response to the suggestion to install the TelePresence m100 client; the license policy for the m100 is the same as for RPD, and the m100 client is no longer being offered for sale. I would not recommend the purchase of an m100 license.
As indicated in the previous replyb if the clientv is provisioned from a Polycom Provisioning platform then no license is required. However if it is used in standalone mode one license is required per device on which the software is installed.
