RealPresence Desktop 3.9 on Mac - outgoing audio and microphone issue

One of our users has a 13inch 2017 Macbook running Mojave 10.14.1 with RealPresence Desktop 3.9 installed. When she connects to conferences on our RMX 2000 (8.5.11) and VMRs hosted on Pexip, there is no outgoing audio from her internal microphone. Incoming audio/video comes through just fine.

We've gone through an checked her sound settings, and her built-in microphone detects sound and works with other UC apps (Zoom, WebEx, WebRTC clients). Tried turning the ambient noise settings off/on the Mac OS sound settings but that didn't resolve the issue.

In RPD, the application is detecting the built in microphone and speakers and they are properly selected - the aren't any other options to choose from. We've also tried testing with some headphones with a mic (apple standard earbuds, etc) and ran into the same issues.

We made sure to close any other apps that may have been "using" or improperly released the microphone device.

Has anyone run into something similar with RPD on Mac and been able to get the issue resolved?

Any help would be much appreciated!
