Telepresence m100 does have support for firewall traversal under Menu, Call Settings, Pubilc WAN address.

Does RDP v2.3 have an  equivalent?

 

The RPD release notes indicate version 2.0 added Firewall Traversal.

Does this only apply when using RPD with the (rest of the) RealPresence platform?

 

When installed in Standalone mode RPD, fails to receive H323 video from Polycom's Andover Video test numbers.

While the Telepresence m100 client is successful ( on the same machine ).

One client was running at a time.

 

For testing Firewall rules for  Inbound NAT were:

TCP 1720

TCP 3230-3329

UDP 3230-3237

SIP - 5060

 

Outbound All allowed.

 

BTW what is the RealPresence platform. Is there a 1 page system diagram that explains the product segmentation / ecosystem ?

The m100 client supports a means to manually configure the publicly visible IP address to assist with firewall traversal.

 

The RPD and RPM clients do not support this capability. It is being investigated for possible future inclusion in the product.

 

Itv does sound like your connectivity issue is likely caused by your local firewall blocking. Did you do any manual configuration on the m100 client to get it to work? From your post it seems to imply that the m100 worked without any special configuration whereas the RPD did not which would be surprising.
