ok, here is the background. We have an RMX and DMA on our corp netowrk. we also have a cisco CUBE to allow internt users to access the VMR's on the DMA and RMX. windows xp users on the internet can access VMR's fine and video calls work well 🙂

However...Mobile users on Samsung Galaxy or iPhone 4 who have installed realpresence can conenct to the RMX via the cube but get no audio or video...iPad 3 user we tested can get audio but no video. Is there a common issue here ? is real presence compatible for this setup ? if not is there other software we should try ?

all help appreciated !

thanks

If the call connects, but there is no audio or video it is usually the firewall blocking H.323 traffic but allowing the TCP/IP call setup traffic.

It also could be that the network you're connecting thru is providing a private local IP address and is being NAT'ed to a public address for transport.  RPM does not support NAT'ing and the audio/video is probably being sent to the private addresses.  We need to push Polycom to get RPM to support NAT'ing.  The application should be able to query a Polycom web site to see what public address is being used and then build its messages entirely using that address.  This is how the other Polycom video endpoints support AUTO NAT.  ASK POLYCOM TO ADD NAT SUPPORT IN RPM!
