A big congratulations to Greg Zorbas and Rob Sparks, who team teach world history at the Kenai Peninsula School District in Alaska. Greg and Rob will be recognized by BP as a 2013 Teachers of Excellence award winner at their 18th Annual Teacher of Excellence awards event on May 1st.
Greg, Rob and Gregory (retired) helped create the “Classrooms Without Walls” program, which is a grassroots effort to enhance learning with video collaboration to help connect students, teachers and experts across the vast Kenai District of Alaska. Click here to read more about the program, and how KCHS teachers conduct about a third of their classes over video. Greg and Rob take turns leading lessons with students at multiple Alaska schools as well as other schools around the world including students at home or on the go. All the students participate in the same exercises, projects and discussions, and can share content using multiple technology solutions.
