the Issue with the Polycom 2w is when the call off hook button is pressed to do a call out there is a ton of interefernce and no dial tone, it is really loud and piercing.  I checked all connections and the pairing base is fine. we get the bong when the unit is rebooted and it syncs to base fine.  the three leds light up.  i confirmed the phone cord Rj11 is fine. Rebooted the Audio codes ATA and even did hard shutdown of the unit.

Hello rbrand1,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to tell us a bit about the history of this unit:

  • Is this brand new or used?
  • If used did you purchase this used or have you had that for a while?
  • When did this start ?
  • Does it make the noise even without a line connected?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
