The SoundStation 2 has a 2.5mm jack, which can be plugged into a cellphone or computer.

What is the configuration of this socket: does it look like the 2.5mm jack of a cellphone?

(We're adapting this to the two 3.5mm stereo audio plugs on a an iMac, so it's simplest to know the layout of the Polycom jack. Standard 2.5mm mono is tip=mic, mid=spkr, base=gnd)

This is a Soundstation 2 EX.

Thanks,

Hello rerickson,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Please see => here <= for advise as we do not advise just to change the original cable.

That posting points to a 3.5mm adapter as working for Polycom to Mac; however, the SS2 uses 2.5mm not 3.5.

Can you tell me the configuration of the SS2 jack?

Thanks,

Hello rerickson,

apologies as I miss understood your Question.

What you are after is => here <=

We do not advise to manufacture or change a cable yourselves as the original computer calling kit contains some logic and therefore we do not disclose the Pin Out.

Best Regards
