PABX/Conference Call

We have a soundstation2 in our office. We would want to make conference call on Soundstation2 with more than 3 parties.

From my understanding, polycom is an analogue phone which does not support ISDN configuration (Correct me if i am wrong?)  Our office required an Ethernet LAN port, IP address configurable in the soundstation device in order to join into our PABX system.

Can anyone confirm if this soundstation2 support PABX (Ethernet connection, dynamic IP …) ?

Re: PABX/Conference Call

Hello @broccoli ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

From the [FAQ] Polycom PSTN Frequently asked Questions

Oct 20, 2011 Question: How can I setup a conference or how many participants can be in the conference?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

As you already noted the SoundStation 2 is an analog phone with no possibility for an ethernet connection.

You could go down the route and purchase an ATA to convert a SIP extension to be used with your analog phone but the handling may not be down to an easy user experience.

I would suggest you look at our Trio range of IP phones. Another Option is the SoundStation IP range.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
