Hi there

I have just bought a used Polycom SS 2.

What is the FLASH button for and how it it used.

Also on the power pack I have plugged the phone line into it and it works great, what is the other input for? Is it possible to connect another polycom phone to it, I asl because I have just bought the desktop phone too, I don't know the name, just a standard phone but has trhe conference option on it.

Thanks and I look forward to the replies

Simon

Hello Simon,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Flash button sends a "hook flash" to the PSTN / PABX indication that you want to place the call on hold / transfer the call.

This feature depends completely on the actual Phone Line provided via PSTN/PABX and you should liaise with your Line Provider what kind of features they offer.

Please check => here <= and => here <= for manuals on our Voice Products and Data Sheets for additional details.

Best Regards

Thank you very much for the advice. I don't need the FLASH function in this instance.
