Steffen,

Here is my first post. Trying to get all of the pertinent initial information.

  • Phone Model VVX 410
  • Part Number 3111-46162-001 Rev:A
  • MAC Address 64:16:7F:A6:61:8B
  • IP Mode IPv4
  • IP Address 10.0.128.24
  • UC Software Version 5.7.2.1765
  • Updater Version 5.9.2.1748
  • BToE 5.7
  • Skype for Business 2015 environment

Trying to update multiple phones to 5.7.3.1797.

This is what the logs show immediately after requesting the update...

Oct 23 12:57:06 2018 |64167fa6618b|Software upgrade url set to - [http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_5_7_3D_release_sig_split/]
Oct 23 12:57:06 2018 |64167fa6618b|Setting provisioning sw image address to - http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_5_7_3D_release_sig_split/
Oct 23 12:57:06 2018 |64167fa6618b|Provisioning server config update requested

After this... nothing happens.

Let me know what else would be helpful

Thank you,

Nate

Hello @NateBraun1,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

May 11, 2018 Question: Why do I get a "Failed to fetch available software from the Polycom hosted server" error message?

Resolution: Please ensure your firewall allows outbound network traffic as shown  => here <=

We need more detailed logs to determine anything.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello @NateBraun1,

Its great that your phone can download the XML file populating the list of available Software Releases aka:

1024084721|copy |3|00|'http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/3111-46162-001.xml' from 'downloads.polycom.com(140.242.65.96)'

but what your log does not show if the phone can download the relevant SIP.LD file

From a working log:

Could the path be wrong?

Hello @NateBraun1,

This is why it is always important to download / attach the whole log in the first place as community members can look at it and make recommendations rather than having to ask for additional information over and over again.

Basically

http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/3111-46162-001.xml

The above downloads the list the phone looks at and shows the individual Software versions.

Looking at 5.7.3:

http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_5_7_3D_release_sig_split/3111-46162-001.sip.ld

The above downloads the relevant file

In addition I tried

http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_5_8_0J_release_sig_split/3111-46162-001.sip.ld

or

http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/UC_Software_5_8_1H_release_sig_split/3111-46162-001.sip.ld

This all works from our end.

You have three choices:

  • Download the files from the support page and setup a provisioning server
    or
  • Let your Network Team further investigate
    or
  • Open a Polycom support ticket

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.
