Hi

We recently ran into an issue where all our VVX phones would drop incoming calls after about 5 seconds. Outgoing would be fine. Updated the firmware to 5.4.4.4281 same issue. I then updated to 5.5.0 and the issue is resolved. Would anyone happen to know what was fixed in the latest version that would have resolve this. The previous version was working fine for a year up until yesterday, and they all quit wororking and dropping calls at the same time.

Thanks

Hello EllTee,

Jun 15, 2016 Question:Can I use UC Software 5.5.0 for Lync or Skype for Business deployments?

Resolution:UC Software 5.5.0 has not been qualified by Microsoft to use in Lync or Skype for Business deployments. Polycom will not support UC Software 5.5.0 use in Lync or Skype for Business deployments.

Please downgrade to a currently supported version and open a ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. In case this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Are all the calls dropping calls going to a response group?  I had this same "feature" happening and I had to disable and re-enable and it resolved the issue.

Love all the "features" of the Polycom phones!

Karnov,

What did you disable/enable? The response group?

I have the issue with any phone above 5.5.0 dropping response groups call occasionally. But enough for receptionist to complain.

This turned out to be an issue with the carrier itself as was rectified by them.
