Dear community,

I would like to share with you a very strange problem.

My customer wants to upgrade their VVX to version 6.4. Its environment is Skype for Business Server 2015.

Following the update of a VVX, an authentication and connection problem occurred.

We did some troubleshooting and my conclusion is quite amazing: if the SIP address is more than 11 characters (before @), the connection fails.

I also tested with an SfB / Teams online account and the result is the same.

It seems that the problem occurs from version 6.3. In version 6.2 no problem.

Also when the problem occurs, we see an error in the Snooper SfB indicating a problem such as :

"SIP/2.0 400 Invalid Contact information .....
ms-diagnostics: 1018;reason="Parsing failure";HRESULT="0xC3E93F13(SIPPROXY_E_CONTACT_NOT_AUTHORIZED)";source="Front-End FQDN"

The problem is 100% reproducible

Your help will be very appreciable

Best regards

Gérald

Hello @Gerald Cheminant ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Before upgrading to a later software always ensure you check the release notes. UC Software 6.4.0 is not a Skype for Business release.

If you are still seeing the issue using a Skype for Business certified version please open a support ticket with our service organization.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

If you do not want to do this use the latest software that works for you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
