Trio Current software version : 5.5.3.3441

S4B Hybrid On-Premise/Cloud

S4B Client version: 16.0.4266.1001

When Content sharing during a multipoint conference in S4B the Trio drops to RDP connection. However, I was able to test each of the attendees in a P2P call with the Trio and it would receive content utilizing VBSS. During multi-point conferencing, all other S4B clients, except the Trio, are receiving clear and responsive content.

Does the trio not support receiving content with VBSS using multi-point conferencing?

Hello @CSTech,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Can you open a Ticket on this so we in support can look at this?

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello,

Does this issue present any update?

We are having the same issue. Out current OS version is 5.5.3.3517. The polycom is a Trio 8800.

Have enabled the parameter (content.vbss.enable) from this post (https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/Software-Polycom-Trio-UC-Software-5-5-3/m-p/95407), but we still unable to see the content.

We can do content sharing when we have a one to one meeting, but when creating a conference (2 laptops and the Trio 8800) the content is not displayed.

Hello @Mihnea DRAGU,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I believe I had a similar issue => here <=

  • Is this some kind of Hybrid Setup aka Skype for Business on Premise / LYNC/Skype and O365?

I suggest this needs to get into support as if I correctly understand you P2P is working.

This sounds a bit like an issue I dealt with but to verify we need some logs etc. Please mention  VESC-8250 with your reseller when opening the ticket.

Hello,

You can close this ticket.

I have confirmed that there is a misconfiguration in the OS version 5.5.3.3517.

Tests performed :

1. Downgraded to OS 5.4.2 and content sharing in a conference was OK.

2. Upgraded to 5.5.3.3517 and content sharing FAILED during a conference call.

Solution :

Disabled VBSS :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<PHONE_CONFIG>
  <content content.vbss.enable="0" />
</PHONE_CONFIG>

Have a great day,

Mihnea

Hello @Mihnea DRAGU,

Posting a topic in this community does not automatically open a Service Ticket with Polycom.

End Customers are unable to open tickets usually so anything posted here does not make it into our support organisation unless this is escalated as already explained.

The Unit should fall back to RPD if VBSS does not work but not getting this into support will not allow us to look at this.
