Are you saying that the parameter device.prov.upgradeServer should be my FTP server?

Also for the other parameter EnableDeviceUpdate is that not just if you want to get device updates from MS. We have that disabled and we wnat to use a provisioning server to contril the updates and not get the from Microsoft.

Hello @EllTee,

as outlined in the FAQ all you need as a server address is device.prov.serverName aka Settings > Provisioning Server and nothing else.

If you still struggle or have any follow up questions unanswered please open a ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Ok Thanks Steffen.

I will open up a call.

Curious though as to why a reset to factory defaults will pull the updated firmware but a simple reboot does not. It was myu inderstading that when the phone reboots it checks the FTP location and if the version on the phnone is different than the FTP location it will upgrade or downgrade accordingly.

Hello @EllTee

If you would lower the COPY and CURL logs you would find the phone does no longer check on the FTP for the Firmware but get's it from the S4B Server instead.

I already provided you with instructions on how to disable these. If you cannot follow these or still have issues please open a ticket as explained.

None of the instructions you gave me made any sense, even your last one stating that I am getting my updates from SFB. In fact they are disabled through cip policy on our tenant.

If I was getting from SFB online why when I reset the phone to factory defaults do I get the update from FTP server?

Your first answer stating that "if you have defined a custom server server for software updates the phone will only poll for configuration changes and not software updates." yet Polycom has a document re scheduling automated software upgrades with distributed polling.

So realistically I have no problem following instructions, you just have no idea on how to convey them

Hello @EllTee,

A lot of the conversation is based on assumption prompted to what you told us about your setup.

Once you finally posted a backup we can see that you set:

device.prov.upgradeServer="https://webpooldm10a33.infra.lync.com/RequestHandlerExt/Files/3PIP/POLYCOM/VVX600/Rev-A/ENU/5.6.0.17..."

The phone will ignore the provisioning server as a source for software updates and use the above.

You or Skype for Business added this and not us.
