Hello

We will be going to Modern Authentication MFA. We currently have several VVX phones, 600, 501 and 410 series at firmware version 5.8.2.4732. We are using the BToE software (3.9.0.0) and have the users sign-in with Username and Password on their workstation when prompted via the Skype client and BToE connection. As this is not supported with Modern Authentication we will be getting users to sign in via the web sign-in.

As we will continue to us the BToE software, when a user is signed in with the web method and changes their password or signs out of their phone, because of the BToE software the Skype client window pops up and prompts them to enter their password (using the username password) method rather than web-sign in.

Is ther anyway to disable this and force the login to be strictly web sign in?

Or alternatively will the BToE sotfware supper Modern Authentication  in the near future?

Thanks

LT

Hello @EllTee ,

welcome back to the Poly community.

Some or a couple of your old post(s) or reply(s) to them => here <= are still open/pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provide some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently. Please do not simply mark them without any type of feedback.

For your new question, to my own personal knowledge, there are no plans to include this into the BToE application.

You are more than welcome to request this via the appropriate channels as outlined here:

Jan 03, 2013 Question: How can I request a change aka feature request to the current Poly SIP / UC Software?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

I'd like to know as well! Are you at a spot where you can uninstall the BToE and just use web login for those users?

We just finished enabling MA on our Skype and Exchange on-prem. We've had luck with firmware 5.9 and users that are SfB On-prem/Exchange On-prem with no issues with EWS. For our users that our SfB On-prem/Exchange Online we're having EWS issues. What is your environment?
