Hi,

since we have deployed the 5.4.0A on our Polycom VVX500, used with Lync 2013, our Exchange IIS logs have been multiplied by 10.

Before they made around 500 MB per day, they are more than 6 GB per day now !

By analyzing them, I realize that we have millions of connection error from IPs of VVX phones, errors like this:

2015-12-01 00:00:04 172.22.6.12 POST /ews/exchange.asmx - 443 - 192.168.28.28 Mozilla/5.0 401 1 2148074252 13

2015-12-01 00:00:04 172.22.6.12 POST /ews/exchange.asmx - 443 - 192.168.28.25 Mozilla/5.0 401 1 2148074252 13

With a log parser, I made a count by IP, some examples:

10.8.28.72 1491686
10.8.28.140 1383053
192.168.28.33 1343233
10.8.28.123 1224928
172.30.40.17 1065280

All these are VVX IP phones IP. Yes, arround 1 500 000 by IP....

I suspect it comes from the fact that we use the BtoE to connect us to the VVX, and when the Windows password expires, he began to make bad logon on Exchange. But this level !!!

1 / Will you confirm that the problem is an incorrect password on the phone?
2 / Is it normal that the phone makes a so large number of query!
3 / Do you have in the roadmap the possibility that the phone connected by BtoE asks for the password to the user when it expires

4/ what can we do for now ?

Hello Doum,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

This is the first I heard of this issue and as usual we would require logs to look at verify this.

Could I kindly ask you to check with your Polycom reseller or Polycom sales contact on this and the other questions as we are unable to dicuss roadmap or future releases in this community?
