Oh my god, thanks so much for this. I have a VVX500 at home and a VVX600 in the office and have been wrecking my head why one shows contacts and the other one doesn't. I went to the configurations settings screen by screen at least twice but never noticed this setting. Once turned off, the contacts appeared on the VVX600 as well. Managing these phones for 5 people is almost a full-time job.
