Hello I am currently using a VVX410 with the newest software:

Current software version :

5.5.1.11526

It seems I can't manage to set the admin password via the template.cfg

The code looks like this:

  <device
          device.auth.localAdminPassword="0000"
  </device>

I've also tired this:

  <device>
 <device.auth device.auth.localAdminPassword="0000">
  </device>

This:

  <device>
 <device.auth device.auth.localAdminPassword="0000">
 <device.auth.localAdminPassword device.auth.localAdminPassword.set="1">
 </device.auth.localAdminPassword>
 </device.auth>
  </device>

but it does not work. What I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

Bumbaa

Hello Bumbaa,

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the Standard Username and Password for a Polycom Phone?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure you always check the community FAQ and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

The above demonstrates that you need multiple additional parameters for this:

<device device.set="1">
<auth device.auth.localAdminPassword.set="1" device.auth.localAdminPassword=""/>

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
