CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

Prior to the 7.3.2.0182 update, CCX600 devices, when not in an active call, would have an audible dial tone when pressing the speakerphone button and illuminating the speakerphone light green and when lifting the handset.  After the update, this no longer functions.  Pressing the speakerphone button doesn't do anything (no dial tone and no light illumination).  When handset is off-hook, silence.

The actual functionality of audio through both works when receiving and making a call.

Is this expected behavior with this recent update?

Hello @Jack_OfAllTrades ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQ’s listed in my signature for your convenience.

Please provide as an example details if this CCX 600 is being used with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 3PIP Teams Gateway, Microsoft SIP Gateway Microsoft Skype for Business on Premise (as this is posted in a Microsoft-related forum), Zoom, or even openSIP.

If used with Teams or Zoom please also provide the Android Partner application version.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Re: CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

Hello @Jack_OfAllTrades ,

Are you running the Microsoft Teams application 1449/1.0.94.2022062103?

If no I would suggest a factory reset and then ensure the latest Microsoft Teams application is installed on this single phone.

If the issue persists open a Support ticket via our official support organisation.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Re: CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

Correct, 1449/1.0.94.2022062103/0621.

Factory reset doesn't help.

More than one device and types are affected, including CCX400.

Wanted to know if this is expected behavior in this release or an anomaly. Is anyone else encountering these issues?

Re: CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

I haven't seen this specific issue, but over the past couple of years our organization has been battling with Microsoft regarding a number of other issues.

It is my belief that the team at Microsoft responsible for the Teams desk phone software is fundamentally incapable of creating a product that meets the minimum standards of reliability for these devices to be of any use. We have given up and are shifting to Poly VVX devices that are supported by the Teams SIP Gateway.

Re: CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

We are using the CCX 400 and are seeing the same issue.  Speaker phone button inactive, lifting the handset, no dialtone/keypad.  This started after the last Teams update to a healthy state, firmware and Teams version.  I have noticed that if I logout of Teams, and back in (on the phone), it seems to work, but a powercycle/reboot of the phone with an auto login, the problem comes back.  The only fix is to completely logout of the phone and back in to get it working.  I tested this morning by rolling back to the previous firmware and I'm not having the issue.

Hello @NetworkNinja ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Which Poly UC Firmware and what Microsoft Teams IP phone APK combination works for you?

Re: CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

Update:  So after doing a 4 finger boot/factory reset and update, reconfigure, it looks like its now working.  I haven't been able to duplicate the issue again.  I know, or was pretty sure, I had done this in the past.

I will update again if the problem resurfaces...

Re: CCX600 - Dial Tone Issues After 7.3.2.0182 Update

We have a customer with the same issue after the newest firmware update and Teams App from the TAC they have no DT and the speaker option is not working.  The update to Poly's latest firmware 8.0.0 has resolved the matter.
