We are currently deploying VVX501's in our environment and we are running into an issue with BTOE pairing.
VVX firmware: 184.108.40.20604
BTOE version: 4.1.0
BTOE pairing is set to auto in our custom.cfg file with this code:
<btoe btoe.pairingMode="Auto"> </btoe>
When the phone reboots or the user logs off and back on, the BTOE prompt appears on their screen asking for their password.
We have an "Override" folder on the Polycom server that has a .cfg file for each MAC address of phone we've deployed so far that also includes this:
<PHONE_CONFIG> <OVERRIDES btoe.pairingMode="Auto" reg.1.address="email@example.com" reg.1.auth.loginCredentialType="usernameAndPassword" /> </PHONE_CONFIG>
Which seems to bypass the issue, however we'd prefer not to add one of these files for every phone we deploy. We were hoping the custom.cfg would allow us to configure this for all the phones automatically.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or a known fix for this?

Welcome to the Poly Community.
First of all, if you have not been specifically advised by Poly support, you should not be running UC Software 6.0.0 for Skype for Business setups.
UC Software 5.9.5 is the latest Poly certified software for Skype for Business.
Secondly, I am unsure if you understand the parameter
The above is used to enable the BToE application to communicate with Skype for Business client on the PC to exchange the user credentials. You will still need to input the user's password to pair via BToE.
In addition, this may simply come down to this:

In regards to rolling out features globally instead of individually have a look at:

Setting this to manual requires the user to get the PIN for the BToE Widget and then pair the Phone with the BToE Client.
