We have a CMA and next to that we are building a RM/DMA config. Basic config is from scratch.

We would like to export guest book from CMA.

Next we would like to be able to edit that file to add and/or delete entries and next we would like to import that in RM.

Take a look at >>> VDM 400 Migration Guide <<<.

I guess you could find some advice there.

I'm afraid this doesn't help.

We have configured DMA/RM manually and only want to export/import guestbook and preferably also the topology from CMA to RM.

We don't migrate using Polycom's procedures since there are so many risks involved so we built a new configuration next to the existing CMA. We will use neighboring for a while so endpoints and softclients can migrate during a longer period in stead of in one big bang.

Thanks

Luke,

CMA migration patch lets you to backup configuration in RPRM compatible format (with some exclusions - see Migration Guide, p. 15). The last chapter of the Guide state that this doesn't impact further CMA operation.

A nonstandard task needs the nonstandard solution );-)

Hi Mike,

Wouldn't that also need a specific RM version?

Thanks

Luke

CMA - VDM migration disk ver. 1.0 installs RPRM ver. 8.0.0 and DMA ver. 6.0.2.

HP Recommended

RM came on 8.2.0.0_76...

Luke,

IMHO in order to avoid any possible problems it will be a good idea to begin the installation with 8.0, then import configuration, and finaly upgrade to 8.2. Previous S/W can be found >>> here <<<.
