I want to reset V21U via console. I am entering root and password @#$%^&*!() but it is not accepting. Could someone help me to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

You might need to log that call with Polycom - incase someone changed the root password !?

 

or, on a 4350 at least,

Press the Erase button twice in quick succession to reset the CLI password to the factory default. Press the Erase button three times in quick succession to reset the Polycom V2IU 4350 to the factory default. This will reset all passwords and erase all prior configurations.The default LAN address will now be 192.168.1.1.

Is it the same on 5300LF ?

 

 

I wasn't able to connect through serial console

by using Putty - serial cable on COM1 - 115200, 8, 1 none for flow control

 

Maybe i missed something ??
