What is important to note with RPAD is that this is NOT a firewall, but merely a NAT traversal unit that will assist in traversing and translating public IP's to private. While the RPAD does provide plenty of features and benefits, the call will STILL Need to traverse a firewall. The VBP-E or ST acts as a Video Aware Firewall and thus caters for traversal for primarily H.323 whilst the RPAD has traversal capabilities for H.323 / SIP etc and works on registrations rather than bandwidth which can also be a limitation with the VBP's. It is important to understand the customers' needs and topology before thinking of disqualifying the VBP devices. Hope this helps in some way. Regards

Something else to keep in mind is the RPAD is not the gatekeeper. The DMA7000 acts as the SIP registrar & H.323 gatekeeper.
